A short story is a written offering with a beginning, a rising plot, literary developments, a climax and thus an ending. It has a traditionally confirmed format but a similar response can be created in the mind of an audience through good art  (or even a group of well linked symbols) that takes the mind on a journey through memory or imagination. How effective is the attachment of ideas and the aquisition of experiences through visual devices for people who struggle to absorb large amounts of text? In this world of debate over the role and levels of literacy required to enjoy a fine quality of life, teach your children to respect the simple drawing skills innate in every person alive.
